Lot Description
A Chinese export silver novelty menu holder, in the form of a firescreen with filigree style decoration and a panel depicting a bird and flowers, impressed maker's mark and attributed to Sing Fat (Canton & Shanghai, circa 1880-1925), height measuring 6.2 cm. Together with eight other miniature items comprising a button hook, Birmingham 1906, a swing-handled basket, Birmingham 1913, three thimbles, one marked 'sterling', a pair of sugar tongs, a tea kettle and a pair of pelican scissors. Condition Report
Mostly in fair to good overall condition, all pieces displaying some tarnishing and surface wear, marks and scratches. A few little dints and knocks to edges of swing handle basket, especially the foot. Some splits and repairs to kettle. Tongs, scissors, kettle and two of the thimbles appear unmarked. Other hallmarks with some rubbing and distortion but mostly legible.
