Lot Description

A William IV silver wine label, of oblong shape with diamond studded border enclosing incised and blackened lettering for Sherry. Hallmarked Joseph Willmore, Birmingham 1834. Length measuring 4.2 cm, gross weight 8 grams.

Displaying some tarnishing and would benefit from a clean and polish. Some general expected surface wear, marks and scratches consistent with age. The reverse has a very pitted and slightly eroded surface throughout, maybe a reaction to heat or a particular substance? Hallmarked to reverse, some wear and rubbing but legible. Suspension chain not marked.
