Lot Description

A pair of late Victorian silver bachelor coffee or chocolate pots, each with plain baluster body above a flared circular foot, with foliate decorated spout, stained wood scroll handle and a domed, hinged lid with flame finial. Hallmarked Henry Stratford, London 1898 and 1899. Height to finial 6 1/2 inches (16.5 cm), gross weight 19.74 ozt (613.8 grams).

Both appear in good overall condition, displaying some general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.

Hinged lids to both appear in good working order and close flush.

One pot with fixing pins sticking out at the joins of the silver mounts to the wood handles.

Main hallmarks with some rubbing but all legible, including corresponding part hallmarks to lids.
