Full Lot Description
A 1930's silver four piece tea service, comprising teapot, hot water pot, twin-handled sugar bowl and cream jug, each of plain octagonal-sided form with gadroon rim detail and raised on an oval footed base. Hallmarked Brook & Son, Sheffield 1936. Maximum length of teapot 11" (28cm), gross weight 44.93 ozt (1397.6 grams).

Condition Report
<li>Appears in fairly good overall condition, displaying general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.
<li>A few minor surface dints and nicks to each piece, especially to weaker areas.
<li>Probable small repairs to cream jug, at one join of the rim to spout and also join of handle to rim on one side.
<li>Sugar bowl with slight knock to rim and possible repairs at some joins.
<li>Hinged lids of tea and hot water pots both appear in good working order and close flush.
<li>Some general wear to handles and finials, possibly a simulated or stained wood.
<li>Hallmarks with some surface rubbing but all still legible, including matching part hallmarks to reverse of lids.
<li>Also impressed to each base, 'Brook & Son 87 George St. Edinburgh'.
