Full Lot Description
A pair of George III silver sauce boats, each of oval bellied form with a punch beaded rim, leaf capped flying scroll handle and raised on three shell mounted and stepped hoof feet. Hallmarked London 1774, maker's mark partly worn. Overall length 6.5" (16.5cm), weight 11.05 ozt (343.7 grams).

<li>Both displaying some general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing in keeping with their age and use.
<li>Many heavier surface nicks and pin prick type marks, especially visible to each interior base.
<li>Some small rim splits and evidence of previous solder repairs.
<li>Some visible seam lines to handles.
<li>Both appear steady on their feet.
<li>Residues of a sticky label to the underside of one sauce boat.
<li>Hallmarks located to the underside of each, rubbed but legible.
<li>Both maker's marks with heavier rubbing and partly worn.
