Full Lot Description
A late George III silver open salt, decorated with floral and foliate scrolls and raised on stepped hoof feet, with a blue glass liner, hallmarked London 1813, maker's mark partly worn. Together with a pair of George IV silver sugar tongs, in King's pattern with monogram engraving, hallmarked James Beebe, London 1829. Weight excluding glass liner 4.68 ozt (145.6 grams). (2).

<li>Both pieces displaying some general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with their age and use.
<li>Salt with faded gilt interior showing spots of tarnishing.
<li>With some heavy surface wear and rubbing to the decoration causing some loss of detail.
<li>With some dirt residues.
<li>Some possible small repairs to feet.
<li>Residues of a sticky label mark to the underside.
<li>Hallmarks located to underside and these heavily rubbed.
<li>Liner is likely a later replacement. With some edge chips and nibbles and internal cracks.
<li>Sugar tongs are very slightly out of alignment.
<li>Tongs displaying some heavier wear and little nicks around edges and especially around the tips of the bowls.
