Full Lot Description

A silver oval shape toast rack, with eight curved racks and round handle upon four balled feet, hallmarked George Unite, Birmingham 1913, plus two shell dishes, one with plain rim hallmarked Boots Pure Drug Company, Birmingham 1910 and a smaller example with shell feet with indistinct hallmarks. Together with a silver mounted glass caster, hallmarked William Suckling Ltd, Birmingham 1936. Overall weight excluding caster 9.98 ozt (310.7 grams).

<li>Items show general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing.

<li>Toast rack is in poor condition, with considerable misshaping and bends to frame and racks. Frame shows areas of very dark tarnishing and item is very wobbly on feet, with some ball feet not resting on surface.

<li>Larger shell dish is bashed, creased and misshapen.

<li>Smaller shell dish shows some bashes and creasing to interior bowl.

<li>Caster displays some minor nibbling and chips to glass, and bashes to pierced cover.
