<li>General marks, small scratches, discolouration and wear. Dark discolouration and wear to reverse. Soft solder visible to suspension ring fixture, likely later addition to piece. Area of cannetille to one arm of cross deficient.
<li>Hairwork with debris visible beneath glazed panel.
<li>Foil-backing with notable discolouration and wear, some debris visible between stones and foil-backing.
<li>Topazes appear to vary from a vivid slightly violetish pink to a pale slightly yellowish pink hue.
<li>Topazes mostly with light abrasion, central topaz with chip to girdle.<p>
<li>Yellow metal electronically tests as 18ct gold.
<li>Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.
