Full Lot Description
A late Victorian silver single sovereign case, of plain circular form with push button opening to reveal an engine-turned sprung platform, hallmarked John Millward Banks, Birmingham 1891, suspended on a silver watch chain. Together with an Edwardian silver double case for a full and a half sovereign, of oblong form with bright-cut engraved foliate scrolls, hallmarked Albert Jackson, Birmingham 1904. Gross weight 2.08 ozt (65 grams). (2).

Condition Report
<li>Both cases displaying some general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with their age and use.
<li>Residues of a sticky label to one side of the plain single case; the interior of this case has some heavier surface marks, scratches and tarnishing, particularly under the inner rim of the lid.
<li>Edwardian case with some minor dints/creases to reverse of lid.
<li>Both cases open and close securely with hinges and push button opening mechanism all appearing in working order; the Edwardian case does not close completely flush and there remains a small gap when closed.
<li>Hallmarks to both clear and legible with some minor rubbing.
<li>The watch chain also hallmarked to parts.
