Pierre Brun (1902 to 1982) opened his jewellery workshop in the heart of Paris in 1936. He worked here until 1975 before retiring and passing the company to his sons, Jean-Pierre and Etienne.

This family-run goldsmithing company specialised in making solid gold luxury items for many French businesses. This included jewellers such as Asprey, Boucheron, Bulgari, Cartier, Chaumet, Van Cleef and Arpels. The grand Maison's would call on the Brun brothers for their expertise and craftsmanship.

In 2000 the Brun brothers sold their business to Cartier. As a tribute to their late father the Brun brothers made the agreement with Cartier that anything made in their workshop would have their maker's mark and state "made in Paris". This is still true to this day.
