Lot Description
A George V silver three piece bachelor tea service, including a teapot, twin-handled sugar bowl and cream jug, each of oval bellied form with applied gadroon shell rim, the lower body with lobed and reeded bands, raised upon four ball feet, the sugar bowl and cream jug with flat top foliate handle, the teapot with ebonised wood handle and finial. Hallmarked George Nathan & Ridley Hayes, Chester 1911. Maximum height of teapot measures 5 2/8 inches (13.3 cm). Gross weight 24 ozt (749.4 grams).

Condition Report
In fair to good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The interior bowls of the sugar and cream have significant areas of tarnishing and dirt residue with remnants of polish visible. Some heavier tarnishing to the gadroon shell borders. Minor bump beneath the rim of the cream jug. The hinged lid and handle of the teapot are slightly loose with some sideways movement. Possible signs of repair to the top of wider section of the spout, with loss of definition to the lobed band. Each piece has a sticker beneath the base for 'Viners Silverseal Tarnish Protected DO NOT POLISH'. Maker's marks slightly rubbed and worn, other hallmarks still legible.
