Lot 208

Lot Description

A 1920's silver and tortoiseshell mounted hand mirror of oval form, with bevel-edged mirror plate and inlaid foliate scroll motifs to tortoiseshell reverse. Hallmarked Adie Brothers Ltd., Birmingham 1923. Height Measuring 11 3/8 inches (29 cm).

Export issue: Yes

Postage: Not Postable

Weight: No

Total lot weight: No

The mirror displays general surface wear, marks and scratches consistent with age and use. Also some tarnishing to the metal. A few minor dints, most notably around the end of the handle. Silver mount appears to be lifting slightly and some of pins are missing. Minor cracks and a small loss to the tortoiseshell, would benefit from a clean. Hallmarks a little rubbed but still clear and legible. This item may have export issues, for customers outside of the EU, please note that it is the buyers responsibility to adhere to any import/export requirements.
