Lot Description

An early twentieth century silver salver, of plain circular form with scalloped rim border, engraved central monogram and raised upon four hoof feet. Hallmarked Barker Brothers (Herbert Edward Barker & Frank Ernest Barker), Chester 1912. Diameter measures 10 1/2 inches (26.8 cm), weight 17.5 ozt (547 grams).

In fair to good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The salver slightly wobbles because the feet do not lie fully flat. Four shaped contact marks to the top of the salver, would benefit from a clean and polish. Hallmarks clear and legible.
