An Edwardian silver mounted and faux tortoiseshell box, the hinged lid with ornate bird, scroll and foliage embossment surrounding central vacant cartouche, the central body having relief swag and bow detail and raised upon ornate stepped feet to border of conforming design. Hallmarked Atkin Brothers, London 1906. Length 5" (12.6cm).

<li>Item displaying general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing, in keeping with age and use.
<li>Hinged lid is in good working order, but wobbles slightly on hinge.
<li>All silver shows some darker tarnishing to recesses of decoration.
<li>Faux tortoiseshell shows some areas of deeper scratching and cracking.
<li>Base to box is stamped 'Asprey London'.
<li>Mount to rim is slightly detached, around hinge.
